gas flow

(dynamics of gas, plasma, i.e., compressible fluids)

Gas flow, and its study, hydrodynamics, is part of the study of galaxies, active galaxies, star systems, hydrogen and molecular clouds, protoplanetary disks, and the atmosphere of stars, in relation to the movement of gas and plasma. A common astrophysics use of the term is regarding gas in galaxies, a necessity for star formation: any flow of gas into or out of the galaxy is relevant, as well as gas flow within the galaxy.
