magnetic field strength

(H, H field, magnetic field, magnetizing field, magnetic field intensity)
(a field associated with magnetism)

The magnetic field strength (magnetic field, H) is a vector field (H field) describing magnetic forces. A different but related field is the magnetic flux density (B), which has field lines that don't end, whereas the magnetic field strength describes a field in terms of lines that end at poles (north and south).
