Magnetosphere Truncation Radius

(radius at which the disc ram pressure matches the magnetic field pressure)

The Magnetosphere Truncation Radius is the radius of the inner edge of an Accretion Disk where the pressure of the disc matches that of the magnetic field. At that radius, material cannot simply continue inward and moves out of the disk, i.e., into the third dimension, to continue toward the object.
