NGC 7331

(spiral galaxy without a bar)
NGC 7331 is a spiral galaxy that lacks a bar, with
galaxy type SA(s)b. It has been considered a galaxy
much like the Milky Way: a similar size and star formation rate, giving
it the potential to represent a proxy for studying such a galaxy
from the outside. However, ongoing observation has revealed differences.
A number of supernovae have been observed within it.
