Palomar Four-Filter Survey
(Hale telescope survey aimed at discovering high-redshift quasars)
I use the term Palomar Four-Filter Survey
for an Astronomical Survey of about 1990
carried out with the Four-Shooter Spectrograph/camera
on the Hale Telescope,
aimed at discovering high-Redshift Quasars.
Photographs were taken with four custom Filters designed
to catch redshifted H-alpha Emission Lines
with a P Cygni Profile
(an odd shape, characteristic of the star P Cygni,
but expected to be visible in some quasars)
and the designator "PC" might be taken from this.
