SINS (for Spectroscopic Imaging Survey in the Near-infrared with SINFONI) is a study using the European Southern Observatory Very Large Telescope (ESO VLT) instrument, SINFONI, aimed at Redshift (z) 1 to 4 over the Near Infrared (NIR) (1-2.5 μm).

zC-SINF is a followup survey in collaboration with the and zCOSMOS (Cosmic Evolution Survey (COSMOS)) team, using SINFONI to view the COSMOS galaxies.
