SN 185

(supernova recorded in China in AD 185)

SN 185 is a supernova noted by astronomers in China in AD 185. Based upon descriptions of SN 185's position, its associated supernova remnant is SNR G315.0-02.3, which was cataloged in 1960 as HII region RCW 86, and has since been studied as an accessible example SN remnant.
