Spektr-RG

Spektr-RG (SRG) is a German/Russian X-ray space observatory launched in July 2019 for observation from the L2 Lagrangian point. Instruments:

• eROSITA X-ray Wolter telescope, 0.3-10 keV.
• ARX-XC X-ray Wolter telescope, 4-30 keV.

In early 2022 with advent of the Ukraine war, German/Russian cooperation with ceased and eROSITA is presumed shut down.

The name SPEKTR-RG was earlier used for a planned spacecraft in the 1990s which was canceled and never deployed. It was to have the following instruments:

• JET-X (X-ray telescope).
• SODART (X-ray).
• FUVITA ("far ultraviolet imaging telescope array").
• TAUVEX ("Tel Aviv UV experiment").
• MART-LIME (UV).
• MOXE (X-ray).
