Subaru XMM-Newton Deep Survey

(SXDS, Subaru XMM Deep Survey)
(survey using the Subaru telescope and XMM-Newton)

The Subaru XMM-Newton Deep Survey (SXDS), was an astronomical survey of about one square degree aimed at covering many wavelengths. The field (the Subaru XMM-Newton Deep Field or SXDF) was selected from within the field of the XMM-LSS survey, an X-ray survey by XMM-Newton using its EPIC instrument. Other telescopes and instruments have surveyed the field providing data on additional bands.
