(1970s European observatory-satellite with UV telescopes)

TD-1A (for Thor-Delta 1A, aka TD-1) was a space observatory satellite launched by the European Space Research Organization (ESRO) in 1972 for the purpose of surveys and operational until 1975. It included UV spectrometers as well as instruments for cosmic rays, X-rays, and soft gamma rays.
