WIYN Open Cluster Study

(WOCS)
(study begun in 2000 using the WIYN 3.5m Telescope)

The WIYN Open Cluster Study (WOCS) is an initiative studying ten (or so) representative of open clusters, using imagers and spectrographs of the WIYN 3.5m Telescope. The aim is to characterize such clusters, and follow up with theoretical research. Observations include radial velocity measurements on select stars within the clusters. The WOCS Consortium is the partnership carrying out the initiative.
