The Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) is a twelve-meter Microwave telescope in the Atacama Desert in Chile aimed at studying Molecular Clouds, e.g., with their .2mm Carbon Monoxide (CO) Emission Line. The major instrument is its Large APEX Bolometer Camera (LABOCA), a Focal Plane Array (FPA).
