Cosmological Zoom Simulation

(cosmological simulation plus higher resolution simulations of selected space)

A Cosmological Zoom Simulation is a Cosmological simulation plus repeat simulations of selected areas, e.g., with higher spatial, mass, or time resolution. For example, Galaxy behavior at Redshift 2 is of high interest so a volume around chosen galaxies in a cosmological simulation can be run at higher resolution. By trying different resolutions, a convergence of results (Resolution Convergence) might be attained.
