The mission, eXTP (for Enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarization) is a planned X-ray space telescope replacing China's XTP plan, but this time also associated with a European consortium. The overall plan is for a 2025 launch for a 5-10 year mission. The plan is for multiple independent instruments of four types:
