High Definition Space Telescope

(HDST)
(proposed 12m space telescope)

The High Definition Space Telescope (HDST) a concept for a 12m Ultraviolet (UV)-through-Near Infrared (NIR) space telescope, proposed in 2015 by Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) as what sort of telescope might follow up the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). It would be nearly twice the diameter of the JWST, reside at the Lagrangian Point, L2, and presumably be launched in the 2030s.
