Isaac Newton Telescope

The Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) is a 2.54 m reflector telescope at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (ORM) in the Canary Islands. It is one of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes (ING), which also includes the William Herschel Telescope. INT was rebuilt there in 1984 after earlier operation in England that began in 1967. Among its instruments:

• WFC - wide field camera.
• IDS - intermediate dispersion spectrograph.

Past:

• FOS-1 - faint object spectrograph.
• PFC - prime focus camera.
• TAURUS-1 - Fabry-Pérot spectrograph and imager.

Future plans include hosting the high resolution spectrograph, HARPS3 for the Terra Hunting Experiment.
