INTEGRAL

INTEGRAL (for International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory) is an European Space Agency (ESA) Gamma-Ray telescope in space, launched in 2002 and still in operation in 2016. Instruments included:

  • IBIS ("Imager on board INTEGRAL Satellite")
  • SPI ("Spectrometer for INTEGRAL")
  • ACS ("AntiCoincidence Shield")
  • JEM-X - observes X-rays
  • OMC - Optical Monitor
