The European Space Agency (ESA) is a European intergovernmental organization, a collaboration of 22 countries, headquartered in Paris, with cooperative agreements with a few additional countries. It conducts scientific flights as well as commercial, etc., and collaborates with NASA and other such space organizations. Among its divisions is ESTEC, the European Space Research and Technology Centre and ESTRACK, the European Space Tracking network. See list of ESA astronomy projects.
