J1407 (or 1SWASP J140747.93-394542.86 or 1SWASP J140747) is a Sun-like star about 430 light-years away that shows signs of a companion with a ring system, like that of Saturn but much, much larger (on the order of an AU in diameter, more than 500 times the diameter of Saturn's ring system). The rings showed in a pattern of darkening much like the rings of a planet passing in front of the star. The star was discovered by SuperWASP. Characteristics:
