LaSilla-QUEST Variability Survey

(LSQ, LaSilla QUEST Survey)
(survey for transients)

The LaSilla-QUEST Variability Survey (or LaSilla-QUEST Survey or LSQ) was a survey aiming to discover transients indicating supernovae, trans-Neptunian objects, active galactic nucleus activity and variable stars. It used the QUEST camera on the ESO Schmidt Telescope at the La Silla Observatory (LSO), capable of imaging 10 square degrees, covering 20,000 square degrees with a two-day cadence. Observations were carried out in the 2010-to-2015 time frame.
