(Next-Generation Transit Survey)
(survey of transits from Chile)

NGTS (for Next-Generation Transit Survey) is a ground-based automated survey for transits. It is being conducted at the Paranal Observatory on the Atacama Desert in Chile. It aims for planets smaller than Neptune and with Magnitude to 13. It began surveying in 2015.

The survey is performed by an array of 12 20cm-Aperture telescopes, using 600-900nm sensitive CCDs.
