PHIBSS

(Plateau de Bure High-z Blue Sequence Survey)
(survey of CO in distant galaxies)

PHIBSS (Plateau de Bure High-z Blue Sequence Survey) is a survey run as part of Institut de radioastronomie millimétrique (IRAM), to study Star Formation (SF) and Gas Fractions, specifically Carbon Monoxide (CO), of galaxies in the Redshift (z)=1 to z=3 range. Its goal is to to produce high-resolution maps of main-sequence star-forming galaxies. Both optical and millimeter images are included. Observations were carried out over 2008 to 2012 and various results have been published beginning in 2009.
