(Plateau de Bure High-z Blue Sequence Survey)
(survey of CO in distant galaxies)
PHIBSS (Plateau de Bure High-z Blue Sequence Survey)
was a survey managed/coordinated by Institut de radioastronomie millimétrique,
to study star formation and gas fractions,
specifically carbon monoxide, of galaxies
in the redshift=1 to z=3 range.
Its goal was to produce high-resolution maps of
galaxies in the star formation main sequence.
Both optical and millimeter images were included.
Observations were carried out
over 2008 to 2012 and various results have been published
beginning in 2009.
