Plateau de Bure Interferometer

(PdBI)
(6-dish interferometer in French Alps)

The Plateau de Bure Interferometer (PdBI) is a Microwave Interferometer on the Plateau de Bure (2550m) in the French Alps operated by the Institut de radioastronomie millimétrique (IRAM). It has six 15m antennas and observes using bands at 3, 2, 1.8, and 0.8 mm. It can resolve images to 1 arcsecond.

PdBI is being replaced by Northern Extended Millimeter Array (NOEMA), an array of twelve 15m antennas on the same ground, currently in progress as of 2015.
