The UK Schmidt Telescope (UKST) is a Schmidt Camera at Siding Spring Observatory, Australia, currently operated by the Australian Astronomical Observatory (AAO), in operation since 1973. Its Field of View is 6° by 6°, intended for Astronomical Surveys, originally photographed. More recently, it has been the home of a Multi-Object Spectrograph, 6dF, and as of 2017, of TAIPAN.
