(1990s southern hemisphere survey aimed at finding quasars)
The Hamburg/ESO Survey was a 1990s wide
survey (3700 square degrees)
of the southern hemisphere using plates
from the ESO Schmidt Telescope,
searching for high-redshift quasars.
The survey produced a catalog of stars as well.
